With the existence
of Cipali Toll Road, Cirebon becomes one of interesting destination, especially for their Culinary.
For
the second time, I visited Cirebon on 2017 year-end holiday with my family. At
first, We were planning to visit the tourism destination, like Sunyaragi Cave, one of the hype place in Cirebon. But, plan were just plan.
Yes. We were too focus on their tempting culinary.
Cirebon’s
Culinary is one of the best. The first day we arrived, we’re directly heading to the
most popular Empal Gentong, Empal Gentong H. Apud. Empal gentong is a spicy
curry – like beef soup. I ate it with a plate of rice. Another favorite dish is Sate Kambing (Lamb Satay). For people who love lamb's fat, here is the best!

Price: Around 30 K (Empal Gentong) and 50 K (Lamb Satay)
After that, I went to 4848 Es Kopyor. They have unique place with various 2017 calenders along their walls. They served Es Kopyor, milk, and syrup separetly, so that the customer may add with their own taste. It was so refreshing with 38 degrees Cirebon temperature, Masya Allah.
At night, We were too tired to go out. In tripadvisor, I found out that there is one local dish, that I never heard before, called Mie Koclok, Not Mie Kocok ya, MIE KOCLOK. So, we decided to order food via Gofood. The best one is Mie Koclok Mang Sam. They just open at night. We waited for 60 mins, which is little bit long. But, the waiting was so WORTH IT! THIS IS THE BEST LOCAL DISH IN CIREBON! It is noodle with white thick soup. It has slices of chicken and half boiled egg. SUPA GOOD.

In the last day, we visited Nasi Jamblang Ibu Nur. People said Gak Afdhol, If you went to Cirebon without trying it. I need to be in the line to choose the menu. The line was long. But, I did not wait too long. I got their most favorite balado shrimp, balado boiled egg, something looks like rendang, something looks like kecambah tauge and rice. I like their balado shrimp, but their black squid is my favorite. Next time, I will order it. They also have Tahu Gejrot which is the best in Cirebon (I had tried 3 different Tahu Gejrot during the trip, Lol)

Price: Based on the dish (all around 15K), balado udang & black squid is the expensive one 35k - 45K). Tahu gerjot is around 15K
So, It was my culinary trip in Cirebon. I gained alot. But, I had so much fun to try new dishes.
